Event poster for the Canadian 4-piece blue grass band Pintail.

I wanted to end up with a very organic feeling final piece, and opted to play with their name as a graphic instead of using photography. I used a decorative, almost Art Nouveau style text for their name, drawing from that design era’s love for beautiful organic forms, and then duplicated the name many times to make their name more of an artistic object on the page than a title. I created some simple leaf graphics, and through the use of colour placement, layering, and effects, wove these into the text for a final graphic that was equal amount art and information.
